Katherine McNamara - Clary Fray, Shadowhunters

Shadowhunters is an American supernatural series developed by Ed Decter, based on the book series "The Mortal Instruments" written by Cassandra Clare. It follows the young Clary Fray who, on her eighteenth birthday, discovers that she comes from a long line of shadowhunters, human-angel hybrids who hunt demons, and must then face her new identity as well as struggle with a forbidden love.

Clarissa Adele Fairchild, nicknamed Clary Fray, is a shadow hunter who was raised among mundanes without knowing her true heritage. Her simple, quiet life is turned upside down when her mother is kidnapped, forcing her to take action. Drawn into a journey of self-discovery in the dangerous, magical and unpredictable Shadow World, the secrets of her past are revealed as she begins to embrace her newfound powers.

Tenacious, stubborn and feisty, intelligent and creative, she loves her mother and friends deeply and is loyal to them above all else. Not having been raised with the typical Shadowhunter prejudices and rules, she often disagrees with them, especially the more traditional ones like Alec and Lydia. Unlike most Shadowhunters, who defend the innocent out of a sense of duty, Clary does so without hesitation because she wants to.
