Margarita Levieva - Jenny Franklin, In From the Cold 

 

In From the Cold is a thriller series created by Adam Glass. It follows Jenny, a single mother and former Russian KGB spy, secretly living in the United States. While on vacation in Europe with her daughter, her old life catches up with her when the CIA discovers her true identity, and takes a keen interest in her for her unusual physical abilities.

 

Jenny Franklin is a former Russian spy and assassin, named Anya Petrova and nicknamed The Whisper, who now lives a double life as an American citizen. Thanks to a mysterious substance she ingested on a mission when she was younger, she has acquired the ability to metamorphose and camouflage herself in any environment.

 

Margarita Levieva is an American actress born in Leningrad (now Saint-Petersburg), Russia, into a family of Russian Jewish origin. She emigrated to the United States at the age of 11, with her mother and twin brother Michael, and settled in Brooklyn. After graduating a year early from New York University, she attended the Meisner Acting Program at New York's William Esper Studio.

She made her acting debut in 2005, with small roles in the films "English" and "David's Apartment", and the series "N.Y.-70" and "Law & Order: Trial by Jury". Over the next two years, she appeared in the series "Vanished", and in the films "The Invisible", "Billy's Choice" and "Noise". In 2009, she appeared in the play "The Retributionists" and made her Broadway debut in "Impressionism". She also appeared in the HBO comedy-drama series "How to Make it in America".

In 2011, she appeared in the feature film "The Lincoln Lawyer" with Matthew McConaughey, and landed a regular role in the first two seasons of the series "Revenge". In 2015, she landed the role of Natalie O'Connor in the spy series "Allegiance", but it was canceled after 13 episodes. The following year, she appeared alongside James Franco in the first season of the series "The Deuce", a role she held until the end of the series in 2019. That same year, she starred in the independent film "Inherit the Viper". Since 2022, she has played Jenny Franklin in the Netflix series "In the Service of the Past", and Marina Litvinenko in "Litvinenko", a four-part British miniseries.
