At the head of her own firm in Philadelphia, Annalise Keating, Professor of Criminal Law and renowned Lawyer, finds herself one day involved in a murder with some of her students who have the privilege of working for her.

Viola Davis is the first African-American actress to win an Academy Award, Tony Award and Emmy in the Best Actress category in film, theatre and television. She gained critical recognition in cinema in the movie The Help with the main role. In 2014, with the series How to get away with murder, she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for best actress in a dramatic television series.

Viola Davis won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, in 2017 for her role in Denzel Washington's Fences.
