Lali Espósito is an Argentine actress, singer, dancer and model. She began her career in 2003 when she got a role in the telenovela Rincón de luz by Cris Morena. In 2006, she took part in the famous children's soap opera Chiquititas Sin Fin. She also participated in the soundtracks of these two projects.
In 2007, she was revealed to the world when she got the leading role in the series Casi ángeles. This became a phenomenon and propelled Lali to the forefront of the scene. Her group Teen Angels, which she was part of from 2007 to 2012, strengthened her reputation and conquered beyond Latin America.
In 2012, she made her film debut with the movie La pelea de mi vida. In 2013, she started a solo career and released her first album A Bailar. It was a runaway success. The same year she launched her own eponymous brand of perfumes. In 2014, she participated in the Caserta Music Festival in Italy, and then undertook a promotional tour, A Bailar Tour. That same year, she was ranked as the 27th most influential Spanish celebrity and opened for Ricky Martin.
In 2015, she lands the lead role in the series Esperanza Mía. This one meets with great success and will lead to a concert tour in Argentina, alternating with A Bailar Tour. In 2016, she decided to put television aside to focus on her musical career. She continues to shoot for the cinema with the lead role in the film Permitidos, then releases a single Unico followed a few months later by a second album Soy, which becomes in just 3 hours Gold Record in Argentina. In 2018, she launched a clothing collection with 47 Street.
Lali is also involved in various fights and debates of society. In 2010, she reunited with her group Teen Angels to participate in an action led by the Biodiversity Foundation on World Biodiversity Day to raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity. She is also named Godmother of the Dono x Vos Foundation which raises awareness about organ donation.
In 2017, she participated in the Amor Es Presente solidarity campaign that collects and then gives toys to several dozen thousand children during the holiday season.
Lali is also part of a feminist group with several Argentine actresses and singers. She declared that she was in favor of abortion, although it was considered illegal in Argentina. A law was later proposed to allow abortion during the first 14 weeks of pregnancy without any prerequisite except the woman's desire. This proposed law was approved in 2020.
