New York, organized crime: within the New York City Police Department (NYPD) is a unit fighting organized crime. After a very difficult personal event, Detective Elliot Stabler is back on duty. He finds himself with a new teammate, Sergeant Ayanna Bell, a woman who is at first blunt and procedural, but also very caring and sympathetic to the victims.
Aryanna Bell is the first main character in the series and the third in the Law & Order franchise who is both a person of color and a member of the lgbtqia+ community.
Danielle Moné Truitt is an American actress. She started her career on the stage at a local theater company in Sacramento. In 2014, she made her first steps on the small screen in an episode of the series Super Fun Night, and then moved on to the big screen in the film Fugitive Hunter in 2005.
In 2009, she made history by joining the cast of the animated film The Princess and the Frog for which she lends her voice to the character of Georgia, but also her body for the recording of the body and facial movements of Princess Tiana. In 2017, she got her first lead role in the series Rebel, and then landed a second one in 2021 in the series New York, organized crime.
She was nominated for two Ovation Awards, one for her performance in a lead role in The Mountaintop and the second for her role in Dreamgirls. She also received an NAACP Theatre Award for The Mountaintop.
Recently, she sold out the Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Angeles for her self-produced one woman show Overnight Success and performed her one woman play 3: Black Girl Blues at the United Solo Theatre Festival in New York. She also created BE. ETERNAL: The Thriving Artist Series which provides moral and spiritual support to the arts community, and produced the #MoreThanAHashtag event, an evening of discussion and performance around police abuse and our role in fighting injustice.
